Day 1
Arrival in Argentina

Buenos Aires
Upon arrival at the airport in Buenos Aires you will be welcomed, escorted to your hotel and briefed on all your travel plans for your stay in Argentina. The rest of the day is free for you to spend either relaxing, or exploring some of the nearby areas. One option would be to visit Recoleta Cemetery, a stunning site surrounded by Parisian-style cafes and bars, and a busy arts and crafts market on the weekends. It is here that Evita Peron's grave can be found, along with those of other notable characters. In the evening we recommend you visit one of the city's many famous steak-houses. Your Argentina Travel Expert will be happy to give you advice, and to make both recommendations and reservations for you.

Day 2
Paris of Latin America

Buenos Aires
The Buenos Aires guided tour takes in many of the city's main attractions, including La Boca, San Telmo, the Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, the cathedral and the old Town Hall, before continuing on to the elegant Barrio Norte and finishing in the quieter residential neighborhood of Palermo. In the evening you will be attending a 'Dinner and Tango' show, with the very best of Argentine cuisine accompanied by some fabulous wines. Following dinner the Tango show will begin, it's a passionate and intense dance, and over the course of the evening you'll have the opportunity to see various dance styles and to hear many of Argentina's most beloved numbers. Day 3
Buenos Aires at your leisure

Buenos Aires
This day is left free for you to enjoy Buenos Aires as you wish, either exploring on your own or taking one of our many extra options. If this day falls on a Sunday you could take a stroll around the San Telmo Flea Market. Alternatively, you could take a morning walk thorough Palermo Woods and the Rose Garden before stopping for lunch and visiting the Evita Museum or the MALBA Museum of Latin American Art in the afternoon. Another great option is the day trip to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay. Just ask your Argentina Travel Expert for advice and suggestions. (Meals - B)

Day 4
City Lights to the falls

Buenos Aires to Iguazu
Following breakfast in your hotel in Buenos Aires you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu, the small town close to the spectacular Iguazu Falls. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your comfortable hotel in the town. In the afternoon you will head out into the rainforest on an exciting adventure excursion to explore the rich jungle habitat of the area. You'll ride in specially adapted vehicles about 5 miles from Puerto Iguazu to the shores of the Parana River where you'll enjoy light trekking, rappelling and a canopy tour. (Meals - B)

Day 5
Exploring the Falls

Iguazu
Today you'll visit Iguazu where you'll be able to explore the jungle trails that surround the spectacular falls. In order to protect local wildlife, elevated catwalks have been built to prevent disruption to natural habitats and trails. These circuits give you the unique experience of being surrounded by the jungle, seeing and experiencing the magnitude of the falls from close quarters. In the afternoon you'll take a truck ride through the jungle to the river pier, where you'll board a fast motor boat for the 2km trip to Devil's Throat canyon in the heart of the falls. Late afternoon you'll return to your hotel and the evening is free for you to spend at your leisure. (Meals - B)

Day 6
Brazilian Falls and the Marvellous City

Iguazu to Rio de Janeiro
Following a morning visit to the Brazilian side of the falls, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro and shown to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to spend at your leisure, either relaxing at your hotel, or getting to know the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana and the restaurants and boutiques in the nearby boulevards. Sunset in Rio is spectacular, so join Rio's residents and head for the beaches where the mountains cast long shadows over sea and sand under a pink and golden sky. In the evening be sure to ask your Brazil Travel Expert for advice on where to find the best restaurants in the city. (Meals - B)

Day 7
Tijuca Forest & Corcovado

Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast you'll begin a city tour with a trip through Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. From here you'll continue to the top of Corcovado, the 710m mountain that is home to the iconic statue of 'Christ the Redeemer' that towers over the city. From here the views of Guanabara Bay, Sugarloaf Mountain, the beaches and the ocean are spectacular. You'll then return to your hotel and have the afternoon free to enjoy the beaches and the sunset at your leisure. In the evening we recommend experiencing the lively nightlife of Rio. The vibrant district of Lapa is home to some of Rio´s best clubs, with live bands playing Brazilian music such as Samba, Pagode and Bossa Nova. (Meals - B)

Day 8
Sugarloaf Mountain Trekking

Rio de Janeiro
This dramatic granite rock mountain is a well-known Rio landmark, and a popular tourist attraction. Instead of standing in line to ride the aerial cable car to the summit with dozens of other visitors, why not try the unique experience of reaching the summit on foot. You will start by strolling along a beautiful shoreline path, before hiking up a trail with wonderful views of Rio's bay, and finally facing a short but challenging rock-climb. On the way down you will take the cable car. This tour can be extended to a full-day adventure, kayaking to an island five miles from Sugarloaf or climbing and rappelling on this mountainside. Day 9
Home from the Marvellous City

Rio de Janeiro
Depending on the time of your flight today you may have some more time to enjoy a morning on the beach and some lunch before heading to the airport, as international flights often leave Rio de Janeiro in the evening. Whatever the case, your guide will pick you up in good time for check-in. This tour can be combined with any of our other fantastic destinations in Brazil or South America, such as Buzios, Paraty and Ilha Grande.
